I hate pictures, but Andelynn insisted we take one together. Gotta love the wink!
Andelynn talking- something she does 24/7/365
Andelynn holding Carys (notice Carys's ponytail!!!). Andelynn loves her sister and insists on holding her throughout the day. She's a terrific big sister!
This picture's for you Christina- I thought you'd enjoy it!!!Andelynn is really developing quite the personality. Yes, she has been a little spit-fire since the day she was born, but she is really hitting a "fun" age now!
Andelynn has decided she absolutely adores motorcycles. She gets excited whenever she sees one or hears one. If we pass one on the road she squeals, "Mommy! Mocorcycle!!! I see it! Mocorcycle!!!" She is completely obsessed and convinced she will someday receive her very own "mocorcycle:" "Daddy buy me mocorcycle, I big." It reminds me of one of my favorite stories when I was younger: "The Littlest Monster." It was a story about a little monster who wanted nothing more than to get a monstercycle for his birthday, but he was too small. Maybe I should dig out that book and tape and let Andelynn listen to the story- I think she'd love it! I'm not sure where her fascination comes from- Josh seems to think she gets it from me, and cites a particular "Harley" incident as his proof. I have no idea what he's talking about!
Potty training is an on going process, and based on some pictures I got of Andelynn in the driveway (see above), I'm really not sure we're making progress!! I really didn't think I'd have to have the "people don't go to the bathroom in the driveway" discussion with my daughter!! Before any of you wonder what in the world we're teaching her, her 2 year old cousin, Hunter, is also potty training and his parents are trying the tried and true method of go wherever and whenever you need to. Knowing Andelynn and Hunter, they've discussed this and Andelynn can see the benefits to stripping in the yard. Unfortunately, we don't have a back yard yet, so all stripping takes place out front for the world to see.
Andelynn's favorite nightly activity is a 4-wheeler ride to a local farm to see the pigs, cows, llama, and rooster. She loves animals and is shaping up to be quite the animal rights activist- much to the chagrin of her hunting dad! He got in trouble and told to "ut up" for threatening to door a random dog. I hope he's learned his lesson and refrains from threatening animals- especially in her presence!!
